I can’t believe this day has finally come… Fallen to Grace is actually finished! After ten years and a hundred sleepless nights, I’m ready to share my debut fantasy novel with the world, and the next two volumes won’t be far behind.
The eBook will be made available December 2, 2016 and is available for pre-order. The paperback depends on the progress of the proof, and assuming I’m happy by the end of the year, it should be released before 2017. If you’re interested, follow this blog or join my mailing list for updates.
For those of you new to my work, Fallen to Grace is the debut novel of the Celestial Downfall Trilogy, a fantasy world with magic, angels, and demons. The sixteen-year-old protagonist, Azrael, stands out in Manor Saffron because she’s capable of seeing both evil and good. I’ve always found this fascinating that, as humans, we’re all capable of seeing evil and good. We call it a “conscience” and are aware when we’re doing something wrong. But in Fallen to Grace, this innate conscience is skewed, and Azrael’s the odd one out when she tries to make things right.
Of course, the novel gets wound up in Azrael’s life and desires, and ultimately how her decisions toss her into moral ambiguities. Understanding what’s right and what’s wrong becomes more difficult as she grows up (fast) and becomes intertwined with the twisted angelic politics, not to mention terrifying magic and her own faustian deal with a demon made with good intentions.
For those interested, I’m offering ARCs (advanced reader copies) in Kindle, Mobi, and PDF formats in exchange for an honest Amazon review once the book goes live. If you’re interested, please fill out the quick form here and let me know! (Please note that ARC copies are lightly proofread and may contain errors.)
Azrael’s a wingless angel, and if that wasn’t bad enough, she’s the only one with a functioning conscience. Her bi-color eyes mark her as a moral hybrid, and when she breaks her enslavement to Manor Saffron by making a deal with a demon, she doesn’t expect to become Queen. She’ll have to survive her new royal magic, convince a legion of angels she’s worth fighting for, and find the breach in her Faustian deal, or risk a new master with horns.
